Program Director/Head Coach (07804 226 025)

Coach Christy is an American cheerleading coach who has lived in the UK for nearly 6 years. Her coaching career has spanned more than a decade and has included instruction of both children and adults. As well as teaching cheerleading during her career, Coach Christy has taught various forms of dance-- from ballet to ballroom-- and gymnastics. She has extensive experience working with disabled students, especially deaf/hearing-impaired and special needs students.

In the past she has worked as a freelance choreographer, judge, and competition consultant. Most recently she trained the Scarborough YMCA Wildcats, started and head coached the McKenzie Wolves cheerleading team in Scarborough (2005-2007), guest coached the Hull York Medical School Hurricanes, Bath Spa Rapids Cheerleaders, Angels Cheerleading Academy (London), and presented stunt workshops for the Hull University Sharkettes.

She is a member of the USASF/IASF and AACCA. She holds USASF/IASF Level 1-5 certifications in Stunts, Tosses, & Tumbling and has qualified to coach Level 6 Stunts & Tosses. She hold a recent CRB check and is certified in British First Aid. Christy is certified to train and certify cheerleading coaches in the US, UK, & Europe.

Recently, Coach Christy was awarded a post as one of only 6 IASF Instructors in the UK.  This is the highest safety and skill qualification for cheerleading coaches worldwide and makes Coach Christy the highest qualified cheerleading coach in the North West.

Coach Christy has recently founded Pro Cheer UK. An organization to provide safety and technique training for coaches and athletes throughout the UK and Europe.

Coach Christy lives in Warrington with her husband and son.
